This Autowatch(PFK Electronics) alarm uses data communications protocol (digital codes) to control and monitor functions on most modern canbus vehicles.
The digital canbus codes are transmitted along a two wire canbusnetwork referred to as a BUS hence the word CANBus or CAN BUS.
